P-40 Warhawk 1570mm (61.8") Wingspan - ARF from Nexa - NXA1009-001
The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American single-engined, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. The P-40 design was a modification of the previous Curtiss P-36 Hawk which reduced development time and enabled a rapid entry into production and operational service. The Warhawk was used by most Allied powers during World War II, and remained in frontline service until the end of the war. It was the third most-produced American fighter of World War II, after the P-51 and P-47; by November 1944, when production of the P-40 ceased, 13,738 had been built, all at Curtiss-Wright Corporation's main production facilities at Buffalo, New York.
The Nexa P-40 Warhawk is a .60 size electric or gas option scale series warbird with a 1570mm wingspan, constructed primarily from balsa wood and covered with a fuel-resistant covering. This ARF requires assembly and installation of your choice of servos and power system, and includes split flaps, painted pilot, machine gun and other scale details. The large battery hatch affords ample room for either electric or gas setups. Impress at your flying field with this iconic stunner!

Its a rear exhaust engine, I bought from another hobby supplier. I'll put a 15x8 prop on it, I'm sure it will be fast.

Everything was well packed, and I suggest watching the build video for this plane. First, I swapped out the provided retracts with eflite rotating retracts and was able to repurpose some old struts from another plane to fit. The provided retracts have given other builders problems I read. Reglue all the servo mounts before mounting the servos, that is a must. I used the suggested gp10 motor and had to resolder the three plugs as they were too small for the esc I used. Also, this plane it comes with a 3 bladed spinner, and the prop shaft is almost not long enough to handle the 3 bladed prop I had bought. Again, watch the video for some tips as to how to mount the electric motor correctly. The flap servos were of a different mount as you had to bend the rod in two places to get from the servo to the control horn, different but it worked. Using a eflite 100 amp esc, a BEC, and a 6s 5000 mw battery, the balance was perfect with no weight added. Decals were easy except for the shark teeth, that was tricky. Plane flew well, not overpowered at all with the gp10, used flaps 1 on landing. Covering is first rate, only minus was the weak provided retracts.
